It features the unmistakable voice of Peyroux with the unique harmonica virtuosity and soulful guitar work of Galison. This hip, retro-sounding 11-song CD is an eclectic collection of songs made famous by everyone from Josephine Baker to the Beatles to Stevie Wonder, as well as three delightful originals. Peyroux sings with a depth and warmth never heard before, especially on the title track and on Jerome Kern's 'The Way You Look Tonight'. This CD features an array of talent, including Bob Dylan's bassist Tony Garnier and Saturday Night Live drummer Sean Pelton. In 2003, after touring with multi-instrumentalist William Galison, she recorded seven songs for GOT YOU ON MY MIND and quickly thereafter began work CARELESS LOVE. You've heard William's harmonica on the soundtracks of movies such as BAGDAD CAFE, THE UNTOUCHABLES and PRELUDE TO A KISS and on albums by Chaka Khan, Peggy Lee, Ruth Brown, Barbra Streisand and hundreds more. Toots Theilemans calls William:'' the most original and individual of the new generation of harmonica players'', but on Got You On My Mind, he proves himself to be an agile guitarist and a superb singer songwriter as well. The accompanying musicians are all stars in their own right: Tony Garnier (bass) has been Bob Dylan's musical director for fifteen years.
